Bohler-Uddeholm Precision Strip AB reaches the cutting edge in Stainless Razor Strip Steels.

2008 saw the resurgence of the Bohler-Uddeholm Precision Strip AB stainless razor strip steel business.

The first razor strip was delivered to Gillette USA in 1905, so there is a long history of selling razor strip from Munkfors in Sweden and in recent years Bohler-Uddeholm Precision Strip has established itself as an excellent quality supplier to a select number of loyal customers.

2008 brought the step-change that elevated them into the big league.

Bohler-Uddeholm Precision Strip purchased the razor strip steel business from Outokumpu Stainless in Sheffield, UK. This included not only their order book and customer base but also some very crucial, modern equipment that complimented that already in the Munkfors factory.

The manufacture of razor strip fits ideally with the expertise the company has in cold rolling of thin gauge martensitic stainless steels.
Razor strip is produced to two main gauges, 0.076mm and 0.100mm with a variety of widths to suit our customers bespoke manufacturing facilities.

Our razor strip has the characteristics vital for the manufacture of quality blades, a uniform surface, homologenous internal characteristics and exacting dimensional tolerances.

We will go from strength to strength in 2009.
